I enjoy being part of the FIRST robotics because of the variety of disciplines and opportunities it provides. I am impressed that FIRST offers opportunities in business, computer programming, public relations, metal-work, website development, electronics, animation, woodworking, marketing, public speaking, project management as well as team building. FIRST is incredibly well rounded in the myriad of ways in which anyone may be involved. My favorite memory is the initial regional I went to in Kansas City. I couldn’t believe the energy, enthusiasm and excitement that hundreds and hundreds of students were exhibiting. They were truly having an incredible time. It was infectious and drew me into the wonderful world of FIRST robotics.
