I have been very fortunate to work with an outstanding group of future engineers in building these robots the last five years.  The robotics team gives the students opportunities to simulate a ‘real world’ design and build scenario working with engineering mentors from the community.  The culmination is the competitions which I explain as being parts of three things:  science fair, sporting event and rock concert.  We are learning about science, math and technology while working hard and having fun.

I have degrees in Education,  Architectural Drafting and CAD; and have taught at SM West for 9 years.  My interests have also included designing and building theatrical sets for a variety of High School and Community Theatres.  In my spare time, I keep busy with my wife and three daughters, and traveling to see the architectural wonders of the world.
